Combat Brain Training© (CBT) utilizes Kennedy Consulting Group's proprietary neuro-plastic re-engineering methodology, Mental Performance Training© (MPT)* to create Rapid Neuron Development© (RND) in areas of the brain critical to efficient processing of information often in just hours. The proprietary mental exercises utilize progressively accelerated cognitive exertion© (PACE) to physically change the brain at the foundational level, positively influencing performance in all areas.
CBT was initially developed in 2006 for the most demanding and stressful mental environment – military units in combat. Since that first test with a deploying platoon of Marines, MPT has proven consistently successful at improving performance in every unit it has been implemented. These include:
- Special Operations Marines and their head quarters staff
- Battalion leadership and all department heads
- Small unit leaders during Infantry Squad Leaders Course
- Scout Snipers during Marine Scout Sniper Course (one of the toughest in all the military)
- Embedded Transition Team Regiment, including the Commanding Officer and his staff
- 3rd Force Recon Marines – reservists quickly ramping up for some of the toughest assignments in Afghanistan
- TBI and PTSD Wounded Warriors
- Marine Corps Rifle, Pistol and Combat Shooting Teams
- Air Force pilots in Flight School
The demands of the combat environment have created MPT’s present form – a series of portable mental exercises easily performed in any location. Recently, MPT was introduced to the business, athletic and educational environments. Outstanding results were consistent with all previous military engagements.
“This was the best and most effective corporate training for my mental and emotional well being I have ever received.” – Chief Financial Officer
MPT provides an excellent program to performance timeline, with trainees starting to notice changes in as little as 3 hours of training. The program is also completely compatible with any existing training/development program and will maximize results if combined.
Timeline:
For over 25 years, Kennedy Consulting Group (www.kennedyconsultinggroup.com) has been providing innovative solutions utilizing proprietary project management and process re-engineering methodologies.
In 2006, Sgt 1st Class David Kennedy, the company founders brother, returned from Iraq and asked - "IED's are killing us, can you do anything to help?" In response Kennedy applied his methodologies to Jenkins and Rowes clearly defined framework of mental processes critical to cognitive efficiency and presented the program, Mental Performance Training (MPT), to the US Marine Corps. The results of the initial pilot exceeded all expectations - since then over 1000 men and women in uniform, and over 500 business executives, athletes and children (including those with ADD) have experienced the positive effects of MPT. Most encouraging have been the reports of accelerated recovery from PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury from vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Current discussions are underway to develop research studies to evaluate the extent which MPT may help patients with Alzheimer's and Depression.
Formerly solely in the realm of psychology, mental improvement has quickly jumped to the realm of neuro-science with cutting edge scientific experiments into neuro-plasticity, proving that the brain physically changes itself in response to stimulation. In fact, the very latest research supports MPT's ability to create positive changes in mental efficiency in just hours.
